PEN FETISH!!!!

Well hello there WOYWW’s it is a few weeks since I was here – lots been going on in my life some good and I am afraid some bad.

First of all the bad my oldest and best friend of 38 years died. I had known my wonderful friend Helen since my first day at senior school. Helen was my bridesmaid and she was my daughter’s god mother. She had been a crafter for a few years too but sadly we never did craft together. She lost her fight with pancreatic cancer on the 17th November she was a strong inspirational loving friend and Mum she was a wonderful brave lady. I will miss her soo much.*Life is too short, be happy in everything you do and live life to the full.*

The Good I have been doing a mural of Nemo for a little boy and it is now finished he loves it and I loved doing it – hope you like it, it took me a couple of weeks –an hour here and an hour there.

Over to my desk as it is today It Is Tidy!!! only because I have been making christmas cards and presents recently so on my desk are a couple I made yesterday the books are covered in embossed grung paper and coloured with Pro markers and then smooshed with Stazon.

In the background you will be able to see on show (now my secret is out!!!!) I have my new storage for my pen fetish!!! I saw this idea a few weeks ago on a few peoples blogs sorry not sure who’s. I thought I would have a go at making some storage for my vast amount of pens in my collection the unit and cd cases are from Tesco the unit should have been £9.99 but it is damaged on the back so I got it for £4 (bargain).

Not all of the Pro Markers are mine I share them with my daughter but all the others are mine all mine!!

Have a lovely day folks and keep warm. Thanks for visiting my blog today I will try and get around to as many of your lovely desks today on WOYWW and if I don’t I am sorry.

For anyone blog hopping who does not know what WOYWW is pop over to Julia’s stamping ground and see what everyone is talking about, and visit some fantastic peoples work.

  35. So sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully you have lots of loving memories.
Love the pen storage.... looks very inviting.... this urges me to get out of my "satellite studio" (which has no wall in front of it) and into my abandoned area so I can use the space in front of the desk! Your grunge books look great... Thx for stopping by. I finally posted The Card yesterday. Have a toasty day!

  46. Life has been a bit manic for me and my blog hopping has been neglected so I have only just read of your sad news....so sorry that you have lost such a dear friend XXX

Must look into doing one of these pen storage boxes...my vastly expanding marker collection is currently spread throughout various pen wraps and boxes and is a nightmare to find the colour I'm after. Thanks for sharing!

Muralwork is something I've never got the hang of...that's my sisters domain and she is brilliant...so I'm in respect of what you've done here...I know that it can be very difficult achieving an accurate copy of a cartoon character to such a scale as all imperfections are magnified. And, as my sister has found, creating murals for children is difficult as they can be your worlds worst critic and don't hold back from telling you if it doesn't look like they think it should! Yours looks looks fantastic...well done!
