Black White and a touch of Gold

This weeks offering for Tag you're it! challenge

Materials and Method:

First of all I cut a piece of White Mount board to size. I then used a Butterfly Kisses stamp to stamp the background in black Stazon. I die cut a bird cage using a Tim Holtz Alterations BIGZ Die from funky foam and made this into a rubber stamp. I stamped the cage onto prepared tag shaped black card with Versafine and embossed it using gold embossing powder. I then cut a second cage from black card and also cut a bird from the same Die plate from gold mirror card. I then embossed the bird and wing with Tim Holtz embossing folder.
Using Black Stazon ink I smooshed over the embossing to bring out the detail

I placed the bird over the embossed cage. I mounted the black bird cage slightly off centre of the embossed cage using foam pads I then placed the wing over the front cage to give it depth.
I added both a gold jewel and a black one on top of each other to make a beady eye.

I added some paper black and White paper flowers and placed a jewel in the middle of each flower. I added some brads to the corners of the black card to look like studs and coloured them with gold marker pen I also added some chain detail with a gold marker pen and went over it with some real wire to make it look like chain.

I hope you like my offering this week I enjoyed using the Die and am quite pleased with the result I got from making the stamp. Thanks for looking I very much appreciate you taking time to leave comments, Have a good week whatever you do I hope you have a crafty time.
