WOYWW

Good Morning all, thanks for popping by today. Hope you are all well today, and you have not been blown away with all the winds we have been having this week. Last weekend was a very busy one. Friday, I travelled to Skipton to pick up my lovely friend Janet for a crafty weekend. We stopped off at Scotch corner for a rendezvous with two lovely friends. Singing to Shania Twain all the way. We were on our way to Washington Services to meet up with some lovely docrafts crafty friends for a pre weekend meal.

We have met for the last 4 years, at first we all met on the Docrafts ATC Forum but a lot of us now only make them to swap at meets, we have moved on to other crafts and a lot of us now Blog.
We met up on Saturday morning at a village hall from all over the country, some travelling many miles to be there some a few more than needed less said about that the better. We arrived just in time to sing Happy Birthday to Yvonne . There were demonstrations including, foiling, Ribbon and Paper flower making, colouring with pro markers, and distress ink techniques. Lots of chat, ((HUGS)) I think some people got some crafting done!!!!! I always love catching up with people and chatting. For most people the Lunch of the day was Fish and Chips from a local Shop (thanks to the organizers husband) Keith always does such a good job. Carole (the organizer) always does such an amazing job of making sure the day runs very smoothly. It was Carole and Keith's 45 Wedding Anniversary and it was lovely that a lady called Sue from the forum had done a collection for the happy couple, Sue had also organized other surprises, one being a mirror of tiles each made by the people at the meet. Carole has set a challenge for the last two years, this year was to decorate an Ikea mirror then they are swapped - see the one I made below. Very kindly Carole and Keith had invited the people staying over on the Saturday night to their house for a buffet and chat - Janet and I had a lovely time, then travelled back to our Travelodge.

Sunday, Janet and I travelled to Harrogate to the GNPS which was brilliant as usual and not too busy. We met up with Georgina and Joanne her daughter and lots of other crafty Scottish friends. I spent a little bit of money mmmmm!!!! We then went to Art From The Heart, This was the first time I had been to the shop - OH WOW!!!! I was like a kid in a sweet shop yum yum managed to do a workshop with Dyan Reaveley's paints and sprays, a lovely way to finish off my weekend.

Below is my first Christmas card I made last week along with some of my purchases from the weekend.

So, if you have not been to my blog before, Welcome. If you are wondering what WOYWW is. If you have not already been to this blog then pop over to Julia’s stamping ground and see what everyone is talking about, and visit some fantastic peoples work from all around the world.

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you do - I'm off to Skipton for another crafty weekend on my first Loving Ink craft retreat.

MMMMMWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAA to all those people I will be seeing this weekend.
