Late post for WOYWW

Hello to all my lovely followers and an apology - I am sorry I have not been blogging recently but I do hope that this will change over the next few weeks. Watch this space.

I am not close to my craft desk at the mo so will not be showing you that on WOYWW but I have some news to share with you all.

I am chuffed I got my A Level Art result and I received an A* I did not think I had done enough to get the grade so was very shocked.

Here is one of the pieces of work I produced during my final year. It is a piece of abstract Batik work of the two liver birds on top of the liver buildings. I found this hard to do as I had not done anything like this before. I must say I like the resulting piece of work very much.

I wanted to make the images look as if they were in the Mersey and I think this worked.

If you have not been to my blog before, Welcome. If you are wondering what
WOYWW is. If you have not already been to this blog then pop over to Julia’s stamping ground and see what everyone is talking about, and visit some fantastic peoples work from all around the world.

Have a great week everyone sending huge (((HUGS))) to all who are in need of one.

  1. Wow, congratulations on your A*, that's amazing. Well done for having a go at the batik too - I think it's fantastic! Have a great week, LLJ x

  2. Congrats from me too thats great - love your batiq work too, gorgeous colours.

  3. First of all congratulations on your result. Outstanding!
Secondly love your batik - purple and yellow are two favourites of mine when put together and I love that blue with the purple too.
    Great interpretation. Hugs, Neet #5

  4. Congratulations, I know how hard you have worked , though it has been a labour of love, it's still labour. Awesome work and a well deserved exam result. Caz

  5. Congratulations! Looking at your art, I am not surprised at all.
    Happy belated WOYWW

  6. I was over at Jo's at the w/e and went to the new museum and the Lady Lever gallery in Port Sunlight,

if Liverpool can't inspire the artist I don't know what city can, your take on the liver building is fab,

    and congrats on the A*

  7. Hi there Lizzybobs, thanks for popping over, and a big congrats on your A+, I well remember how chuffed I was at College to get that for Music theory when I was what I considered to be rather un-musical - however unlike me - your colourful Batik is beaut! TFS! Shaz in Oz.x
