WOYWW

Hello fellow bloggers - I have not been here for a couple of weeks sorry - my visit to Geordieland was a huge success I met up with some lovely old friends and met some new ones too. I Visited GNPE at Harrogate too so the weekend was craftylisious!! (hope that is a word if not it should be!)

Anyway folks this week my desk is my art desk (kitchen Table). I am doing my second year A2 in Fine Art at college and my homework over the next 6 weeks is to do 4 Pastiches (copies of other peoples work) this is to teach us colour mixing I am finding it hard and challenging but I am loving it. The two pieces are Paintings by Edward Hopper I am pleased with the one on the left but am yet to finish the other one - maybe if the light is better tomorrow.

I hope to get around everyone today on WOYWW but if I don't I am sorry in advance - I might be stuck behind my kitchen table all day!!! love and ((HUGS)) to all who visit me today and don't forget to go and have a look at what the rest of the blogland world is up to on and visit
Julia at stamping-ground. woyww.

Big 60

My brother was 60 this week so I made him this card from some number stamps I made using funky foam numbers. I stamped them in different shades of Tim Holtz diastress inks and a clock stamp from Crafty Individuals. I think it worked quite well. This is my entry for Tuesday Taggers this week as the theme is takes all sorts.
Ribbon Oasis are offering a prize so go and have a look at Tuesday Taggers. Thanks everyone for your lovely comments on my blog ((HUGS))

I am getting ready for a lovely weekend away with some lovely crafters. My daughter and I are off to Geordieland to meet up with some ladies who all met on the Docrafts forum many moons ago. There are a few meets over the year and I have been to most it is where crafters of all abilities share Hugs, ideas, have a chat and just generally have lots and lots of fun. After that I am off to Harrogate GNPE for some craft retail therapy. So why is my desk a mess - probably coz I could not be bothered to hide it under the desk this week!!! take care everyone and happy blogging.

Book of Stamps

Tuesday Taggers I needed some storage for some stamps I have so made this book from mount board (love this stuff) the background on the board is made with Tim Holtz Mustard seed and Worn Lipstick distress inks smooshed onto the board worn lipstick ink then dabbed onto sequin waste to make this checked effect the word Stamps was stenciled with TH letter stencils and spritzed with water and allowed to dry overnight. The two bird stamps stamped onto the front are stamps I made using TH alterations Sizxix Dye amid stamped in Chipped Sapphire and Dusty Concord distress ink. The edge finished off with a black marker pen. This is one of a few books I am going to make for my rubber stamp collection. Inside I have used some ATC pockets that hold 9 ATCs cut down to make three pages. I added some rings to the side and will add some ribbon at a later date to the rings - hope you like what you see.

All Autumn

Tag You're It theme this week is Autumn - here is my offering the Image is a Tilda stamp I have had for a while the background is made from Burnt Orange and Granite ink Altered Originals sprays by Dyan at Art from The Heart my prize from Tuesday Taggers a few weeks ago. The foreground is made with crushed egg shells coloured with Alcohol inks. The Tag has been mounted onto a piece of Basil card stock - thanks for looking and happy Blogging - Oh why do the nights have to be so dark these days.
